Policy and Procedures

**Please note that because we are a custom bakery, we are only able to accept a limited number of orders per week.  We operate on a first paid, first served basis. WE DO NOT hold dates on our calendar without a paid invoice/retainer fee.

Payments

Rush orders (requested less than 10 days of the request event) will incur a 20% fee.) 50% of  the order total is required to confirm your date (Any orders over $100). This must be submitted within 24 hours of the issuance of the invoice. If payment is not received within 24 hours, the order will be cancelled. If the customer wishes to resubmit the order, a 10% paperwork fee will be added. It is not guaranteed that a space will be available at the time the order is resubmitted. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the scheduled event. If the payment is not received within the requested time on the invoice, the order will be cancelled.

All orders under $100 must be paid in full within 24 hours of the issuance of the invoice. If payment has not been received, the order will be cancelled. If the customer wishes to resubmit the order, a 10% paperwork fee will added. It is not guaranteed that a space will be available at the time the order is submitted.

Please request any changes BEFORE submitting payment. Once Payment is received, any additional changes must be submitted via email and approved by the confectionery artist and may result in additional fees depending on design and lead time given.

Once products are picked up/delivered/shipped, Cara Bella Creations by Shauna is no longer responsible for the products. Many products are weather sensitive and made with chocolate and or/ingredients that may melt. Please handle with care and keep in a cool area out of direct sunlight.

Cancellations

Should a customer need to cancel an order, the payment can be applied to another order within 3 months of the original event date. Please be sure to contact Cara Bella Creations by Shauna in writing (email) 4 weeks prior to the newly scheduled event.

Shipping

Due to the nature of the products offered, Cara Bella Creations by Shauna will not be responsible for any damages made during shipment. Some cookie designs are more prone to breakage than others, in these circumstances, special care is given to decrease the risk of damages. No refunds or price adjustments will be given.

Cara Bella Creations by Shauna uses the following carriers: UPS, FedEx and USPS. Shipping is typically estimated at 1-3 days, but it is not guaranteed. West Coast can take up 4 days. Express Delivery is an option for an additional charge, and would need to be discussed before an order confirmed.  Cara Bella Creations by Shauna will not be responsible for any shipping delays due to weather, incorrect address, or acts of God. Rush orders may be available. Keep in mind that overnight shipping can be very expensive. It is recommended that order be placed a month before the event if at all possible.

Product Info

Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, egg and other allergens. We fully expect our customers to take the responsibility of notifying their guests of this risk and not hold Cara Bella Creations by Shauna harmless for allergic reactions.

The cookies, if left in their sealed packaging, will stay fresh for up to 3 weeks! They can also be frozen kept in their sealed packaging and in a freezer grade Ziploc bag for up to 3 months. While thawing out at room temperature, keep them sealed to reduce condensation. Dark icing may bleed slightly, but they will still look nice and taste delicious!
